Sol the Dawnfather
The god of day, Sol the Dawnfather, is generally depicted as a huge man dressed in fur with eyes, hair and beard as bright as the sun. He carries the “Night Cleaver”, a huge sword that is said to cleave the night at dawn, sending it away.
He sacrificed his eyes to create the Giants to fight The Great Wyrm Vorthar the Worldeater. As such, his most devout followers blind themselves in a publicly displayed ritual.
Statues of Sol use the valuable Nova Crystals for eyes, hair and beard. The crystals magnifies light in that just a little light will be reflected with manyfold brightness making them sought after for mining and similar activities in the dark.
Nocturna the Nightbringer
The opposite to Sol is the goddess of night, Nocturna the Nightbringer, the God of the Night and nightly activities. She is depicted as a tall, slender woman with moon white skin and black hair and eyes. She wears a black dress.
Nocturna wears no visible weapons, but is fighting Sol with an array of concealed smaller weapons to bring forth the night.
She sacrificed her voice to create the Giants to fight The Great Wyrm Vorthar the Worldeater. As such, the few true devotees of Nocturna mute themselves using a secret poison given to them by Nocturna herself.
Nocturna is the deity for all rogues, although most of them do not know it. The few who realise this, quickly become powerful thieves guild lords, assassins or similar infamous rogues.
Statues of Nocturna use the valuable Obscura Granite for eyes, hair and dress. Nocturna do not have churches so statues of her tend to be smaller and found in more private settings.
Equinor the Eternal Arbiter
Equinor the Eternal Arbiter is the god of neutrality. While Sol and Nocturna are neither good nor evil, they are still opposites. Equinor the Eternal Arbiter is neither Sol nor Nocturna, yet the sum of both of them combined.
Equinor has no physical form and there are no statues or pictures of them.
Equinor never interfeers with any worldly matters, the only exception being when they saved the Fey from the Nyx attack, which lead some people to assume Equinor is an Archfey.
There are no known followers of Equinor, yet Equinor is ever present.
