Fenrir’s curse mechanics

Transforming to wolf form

  • Fenrir becomes a werewolfwhen he roles a Nat1 or Nat20 attack role.
  • Alternatively Fenrir can choose to drink a potion to trigger the wolf form. DC13 CON save. If he fails, he is poisoned for 1 minute instead (disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks) and cannot turn into wolf form in any way during this period.

While in wolf form

Fenrir drops all weapons, equipment and armour when transforming, both to avoid it being destroyed, but also to get the freedom his wolf instincts crave.

  • AC becomes 10+DEX+CON
  • Gains resistance to non-magical, non-slivered attacks. Note if Fenrir is hit by a silvered weapon, he loses resistance for 1 round.
  • Radiant damage hurts more. He takes extra D6 damage when hit by radiant damage.
  • Gains multiple attack ability (claw, claw, bite)
    • Claw attack: To hit: STR+Proficiency, Damage: 1D4+STR slashing damage
    • Bite attack: To hit: STR+Proficiency, Damage: 1D4+STR slashing damage. Target most roll DC12 CON or gain Lycanthropy.
    • Damage increases to D6 at level 5, D8 at level 11 and D10 at level 17.
  • Gains “Predatory Step”. Bonus action to make an extra move. Can only be used to move towards a target.

Attacking in Werewolf Form

  • While in wolf form, Fenrir must roll a WIS saving throw against a DC or 10+ number of creatures within 15ft.
  • If he succeed, he may choose what to do and who to attack. If he fails, he must attack nearest creature friend or foe.

Ending wolf form

Wolf form ends if…

  • No more combat and no creatures within 15ft.
  • Rolls DC15WIS saving throw with the following modifiers:
    • +2 if Fenrir is below half HP
    • +2 if blood has been spilled in the same round.
  • Holy Symbols Burn
If a cleric of a good deity presents a holy symbol to Fenrir in werewolf form, he must succeed on a Wisdom save or be forced to revert.

After wolf form

After ending wolf form, Fenrir will be both armour and weaponless and exhausted gaining disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks and saves for 10 minutes or until he takes a short or long rest.
